Edition 2018 — 7ème Ciel
Third edition of the 7ème Ciel Rencontres Cinéma en Sud Quercy in Saillac. Three days of screenings on the church square, with about fifteen films — documentaries, animation, fiction, and shorts — related to the agricultural and rural world. Concerts every evening and on-site catering.
3rd edition in Saillac
The 3rd edition of the 7ème Ciel festival took place from July 27 to 29, 2018 in Saillac, on the Place de l'Église, in the heart of the village. About fifteen films were screened, mixing documentaries, animation, fiction, and shorts, with a program related to the rural and agricultural world.
Program
The program began on July 22 with a preview of the documentary "Notre Dames de la ZAD" by Xavier Delagnes in the hamlet of Jamblusse.
Among the films screened during the festival:
- "Le Jour des Corneilles" by Jean-Christophe Dessaint — animated film
- "The Songs My Brothers Taught Me" by Chloé Zhao
- "Farrebique" by Georges Rouquier — a masterpiece of French rural cinema
- "Tabu" by Miguel Gomes
- "The Wonders" by Alice Rohrwacher
- "The 4 Seasons of Espigoule" by Christian Philibert
- "La Terre de la folie" by Luc Moullet
- "Call Me Madam" by Françoise Romand
Concerts were held every evening in the open air, featuring Mathieu Tétéu, Dakota & Timo, and Baldango. The animation duo Mizotte & Cabéco offered a show for young audiences.
The festival benefited from the support of the Lalbenque-Limogne intercommunal community, the Lot department, the Occitanie region, as well as the Cinémathèque de Toulouse and CinéLot.
