18th edition: 35 concerts to explore today's jazz

The 18th edition of the Altitude Jazz Festival took place from January 16 to 25, 2025, offering 35 concerts over ten days in about fifteen different venues in the Briançonnais region. The program explored jazz in all its contemporary dimensions, blending jazz, improvised music, world music, and current music.

Among the featured artists, Brama presented intense and organic music, DJÉGO revisited Manouche traditions with modernity, Gauthier Toux offered luminous jazz piano, while Human Pattern explored the boundaries between jazz and electronic music. Johnny Makam, Kessoncoda, and Lea Maria Fries brought diverse international sounds, complemented by Monsieur Mâlâ and the unclassifiable Moustik Haterz.

True to its philosophy, the festival maintained free access for half of its concerts, with events in bars, on ski slopes, and in unusual venues in the Briançonnais. Masterclasses, workshops for young audiences, and film screenings enriched this edition, which attracted around 10,000 spectators.
