A market faithful to Provençal tradition
The 2024 edition of the Aubagne Nativity Scene and Ceramics Market was held from November 16 to December 29, 2024 on the Cours Maréchal Foch. Approximately 43 artisans — nativity scene makers, crib creators, and ceramicists from the Aubagne basin, including 23 from the Galerie Argilla — transformed the avenue into a true Provençal Christmas village. Visitors could discover and purchase hand-painted nativity figures, traditional cribs, decorative ceramics, and terracotta art objects.
The market was part of the Féerie de Noël à Aubagne (Aubagne's Christmas Magic), with various events: the Nativity Scene Art Weekend offering modeling demonstrations and workshops for children, street performances, town center illuminations, and musical entertainment. Admission was free, and the market was open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM.
