13th Edition: Jazz Conquers Le Puy-en-Velay
For its 13th edition, the Automne Jazz en Velay festival has chosen to focus exclusively on Le Puy-en-Velay, taking over four emblematic venues in the capital of Haute-Loire from September 27 to 29, 2024.
On Friday, September 27 at 8:30 PM at the Ateliers des Arts, the concert London Vibes brought together British guitarist Tom Ollendorff and French pianist Fabrice Tarel in a quartet for an exceptional evening blending contemporary jazz and London influences.
On Saturday, September 28, the Théâtre du Puy-en-Velay hosted Les Cousins, paying tribute to Django Reinhardt, followed by Possible(s) Quartet, who presented their latest original creation GymnoStrophy. In parallel, a writing workshop led by journalist and writer Laurent Brun was held at the municipal library, where music served as a pretext for writing.
On Sunday, September 29, from 9 AM to 7 PM, the Jardin Henri Vinay vibrated to the rhythm of La Folle journée du jazz: record markets, blind tests, jazz readings, jazz naps, and free open-air concerts for a popular and family-friendly event.
