Aux Chœurs du Tarn 2025 — 21 Free Concerts in Sorèze

On June 7 and 8, 2025, the Cité de Sorèze vibrated to the sound of voices from amateur choirs of the Tarn gathered for the Departmental Choral Singing Meetings. Twenty-one concerts followed one another in the spaces of the abbey-school, offering the public an immersion into the diversity of the amateur choral repertoire.

Organized by the ADDA du Tarn, this 2025 edition confirmed the event's appeal to choirs from the department, who were delighted to have a great stage to share their passion with a wide audience. The performances covered a vast musical spectrum: vocal polyphony, French songs arranged for choir, traditional Occitan repertoire, sacred and secular music.

The exceptional setting of the Cité de Sorèze — its cloisters, historic halls, and gardens — contributed to creating a unique atmosphere, blending the beauty of the place with the emotion of singing. Free admission allowed many families and music lovers to discover or rediscover choral singing in this memorable setting.
