Auxerre Christmas Market 2025: Christmas in the heart of the Yonne capital

In December 2025, Place Charles Surugue and the historic center of Auxerre were adorned with their finest lights to host a new edition of the Auxerre Christmas Market. The illuminated wooden chalets once again filled the heart of the city, transforming the squares and alleys of the old town into a festive and warm Christmas village.

Visitors could browse the aisles in search of original gifts: artisanal jewelry, wooden creations, pottery, Christmas decorations, local Burgundian products. Food stalls offered mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, and other winter treats in a friendly atmosphere. Family entertainment and the presence of Santa Claus punctuated the busiest days.

The 2025 Christmas program of the City of Auxerre also included the illuminations of the city center, lit from the end of November, as well as shows and entertainment in various parts of the city throughout December. Admission to the market was completely free.
