Edition 2025 — Barbara Festival
The 25th edition of the Barbara Festival was held from May 21 to 24, 2025, in Saint-Marcellin and the Sud-Grésivaudan. True to its mission, the festival celebrated French singer-songwriter music through concerts by established and emerging artists, the "Coups de pouce" springboard competition, exhibitions dedicated to Barbara, and an Off festival animating the town's streets.

25th Barbara Festival Edition - May 2025
For its twenty-fifth anniversary, the Barbara Festival offered a particularly rich and festive edition, marking a quarter-century of homage to the great "dark lady" of French chanson in Saint-Marcellin. This jubilee was an opportunity to celebrate the festival's deep roots in the Sud-Grésivaudan territory and its essential role in promoting contemporary singer-songwriter music.
The concerts at Le Diapason once again sold out, confirming the loyalty of the Isère audience to this unmissable event. The 600-seat hall vibrated to the rhythm of voices and melodies that perpetuate Barbara's spirit: demanding, poetic, and profoundly human chanson.
The "Coups de pouce" springboard allowed young singer-songwriters from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region to perform before a jury of professionals and an enthusiastic audience, offering the winner valuable visibility for the rest of their artistic career.
The Off festival animated the town center of Saint-Marcellin with street performances, musical entertainment, local food stalls, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Exhibitions dedicated to Barbara's life and work completed the program, recalling the unbreakable bond between the artist and the town that sheltered her during the war.
