18th Edition — 20 Years of Baule d'Airs

The Baule d'Airs festival celebrated its 20th anniversary during its 18th edition, from May 16 to 18, 2025. For this anniversary, the stage setup was redesigned and expanded, organized around four areas: a free central square with ticketing and catering, and three satellite spaces (Near Big Top, Church, IME castle gardens), each with its own programming.

Nearly 190 volunteers, 80 professional artists, and 250 amateur musicians participated in this anniversary edition, bringing together 10 brass bands and 10 artistic companies.

Musical Program

The 2025 edition opened up to Brazilian music as part of the France-Brazil 2025 Season, with the presence of Cornucopia Desvaïrada, a Brazilian samba ensemble specially invited for the occasion. Among other musical highlights:

  • Société Musicale de Baule in collaboration with the Children's Choir of the Orléans Conservatory, the vocal ensemble Éphémère, and a rock group under the direction of composer Philippe Capelle — an original creation including excerpts from Pink Floyd's *The Wall* on the theme of 'oppression, repression, resistance'
  • La Belle Image with the Orléans Conservatory — a performance fueled by South American rhythms
  • La Vespa Cougourdon Orchestra — tradition of the Occitan and French carnival
  • Jazz Combo Box — unique brass band with DJ
  • Nymphonik Orchestra

Street Arts

Ten companies took over the festival spaces with diverse shows:

  • Cie Rampante — contemporary circus
  • Cie l'Arbre à Vache — physical theater
  • Cie Gentleman Jongleur — juggling
  • Cie Dédale de Clown — clowning
  • Cie les Têtes de Mules — puppetry
  • Paula Malik (Madame ÇaVa)
  • Parasite Circus
