17th Biennale — The Voices of Rivers / Crossing the Water

The 17th edition of the Lyon Contemporary Art Biennale was held from September 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025, under the theme 'The Voices of Rivers / Crossing the Water'. This edition offered an ambitious artistic journey exploring the relationships between water, migration, and cultural exchange.

For the first time, the Biennale took over the Grandes Locos, a former industrial site converted into a monumental exhibition space, alongside macLYON and the Musée Guimet. The route brought together artists from around the world, offering a reflection on rivers as vectors of encounters and social transformations.
