The 8th edition of the Barcelonnette Classical Music Biennial was held in August 2018. 8th Classical Music Biennial — 2018
The 8th edition of the Barcelonnette Classical Music Biennial offered a program of seven concerts, all as varied as they were appealing. The Gradus Ad Musicam Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of François Legée, took over the Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church and the El Zócalo theatre for a week of exceptional music.
The program focused on major works from the repertoire: Antonín Dvorak's Stabat Mater, piano solo pieces by Chopin, concertos by Bach and Vivaldi, works by Mozart, and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. The richness and diversity of the programming confirmed the Biennial's place among the major musical events of the Ubaye valley.
