28th Edition: Danakil, Groundation, and Third World at the Pinède
The 28th edition of the Big Reggae Festival took place on July 3, 2025, starting at 7 PM in the garden of the Pinède Gould in Juan-les-Pins, featuring an exceptional lineup of world reggae legends and French reggae figures.
Third World, an iconic Jamaican group formed in 1973, celebrated five decades of musical creations with a powerful concert. Authors of the global hit "Now That We've Found Love", they embody the fusion of reggae, funk, and soul that has marked the history of Jamaican music. Groundation, among the legends of world reggae, delivered a deep and captivating roots set, driven by Harrison Stafford's voice and guitar.
Danakil, a committed French roots reggae band, ignited the Pinède with their militant and festive music, confirming their headliner status at reggae festivals in France. The young Jamaican artist Mortimer, with his refined and fresh soul reggae, brought a new and promising breath to this edition.
