Br'Ain de Cirque

2025 edition: circus celebrations at Brou

From Wednesday 14 to Friday 23 May 2025, the Br'Ain de Cirque festival took over the grounds behind the Royal Monastery of Brou for ten days of shows, workshops and entertainment. The programme brought together several professional contemporary circus companies.

Among the highlights: "Même pas Malle" by Solau & Cie, a tender acrobatic tale for young audiences featuring a mischievous child and a playful character in a room full of toys; "440 Là!" by Compagnie du Menu Fretin, a participatory musical odyssey blending clown comedy and sonic adventure; "Petit Concert de Cirque" by Compagnie Trait d'Esprit, combining handstands, juggling and acrobatic lifts to a classical music backdrop; and "Les Grandes idées" by Collectif PourquoiPas, an energetic and offbeat show about two eccentric characters.

ETAC students also presented fourteen amateur shows, and numerous free entertainment — introductory workshops, games, jazz, rock and Balkan music concerts — punctuated the festival.
