Edition 2025 — BWd12

The 20th edition of the BWd12 Festival celebrated the festival's twentieth anniversary from August 28 to 31, 2025, at the Château de Saint-Victor-sur-Loire. For this exceptional anniversary, the festival hosted accordionist Richard Galliano and harpist Catherine Michel for the opening, followed by three days of concerts exploring the repertoire of Beethoven, Bruckner, Brahms, Dvořák, Rachmaninov, Mozart, Debussy, Chopin, and Mussorgsky. The "Orchestre des Colibris," an ensemble mixing deaf children, hearing children, and professional musicians, performed for free on Saturday morning. All evening concerts were sold out. The festival continued on November 23, 2025, with a closing concert at the OPSIS in Roche-la-Molière featuring works by Brahms and Schubert.

20th Edition — August 28 to 31, 2025

The BWd12 Festival celebrated its twentieth anniversary from August 28 to 31, 2025, in the magnificent setting of the Château de Saint-Victor-sur-Loire. Since 2005, the festival has presented over 100 concerts and some 600 works, welcoming approximately 20,000 spectators. To mark this anniversary, the program brought together exceptional artists in formations ranging from duos to sextets.

Thursday, August 28 — Carte Blanche to Richard Galliano

The festival opened with a carte blanche for Richard Galliano, a world-renowned accordionist, accompanied by harpist Catherine Michel. The program featured works by Astor Piazzolla, for an evening full of emotion with Hispanic colors.

Friday, August 29 — The Great Masters

The second concert offered an ambitious orchestral program with works by Beethoven, Bruckner, Brahms, Hauer, Messiaen, and Schönberg, providing an evening rich in surprises and emotions.

Saturday, August 30 — Double Event

At 11 AM, the "Orchestre des Colibris", a unique ensemble bringing together deaf children, hearing children, and professional musicians, performed for free in the château courtyard (registration required). At 8 PM, the concert featured works by Dvořák and Brahms.

Sunday, August 31 — Invitation to the Museum

The morning began with a free public rehearsal at 11 AM, open to all upon online registration, offering a privileged moment to observe the musicians at work. The closing concert at 5 PM, titled Invitation to the Museum, offered a pictorial journey in music with works by Rachmaninov, Mozart, Dohnányi, Debussy, Chopin, and Mussorgsky.

20th Anniversary Closing Concert

To conclude the twentieth-anniversary festivities, a concert was held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 5 PM at the OPSIS in Roche-la-Molière, with a program dedicated to Brahms and Schubert's String Quartet.
