20th Edition - Humanimal Metamorphoses
For its 20th anniversary, the Cahors Juin Jardins festival presented a special edition around the theme "Humanimal Metamorphoses, are we beasts?". This theme questioned respect for biodiversity, our attachment to the non-human, and the invisible links that unite us to the living world.
The opening weekend took place from June 6 to 8, 2025, with a Grand Humanimal Parade to inaugurate the event on the Allées Fénelon on Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday, the private gardens of Cahors opened their doors from 11 am to 7 pm for a free stroll among the works of about fifteen invited artists.
Among the featured artists: Lou le Forban, François Lelong, Anne Da Silva, Sabrina Laiolo, Ju Hyun Lee, Chantal Perret, mastO, Florence Garrabé, Arthur Sajas, and Aldéric Doyen, working in sculpture, textile, performance, ceramics, and multimedia.
The program also included a night market of art crafts, a light concert at the Jardin du Bord de l'Eau, a Bal Trad', a flower market, and gourmet meals from local producers. The landscape gardens circuit offered 21 animated gardens to discover in the Lot Valley, vineyard valley, and Grand Quercy.
