1st Edition - 75th Anniversary of Cahors Mundi

The first edition of the festival took place from June 27 to 29, 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of the Cahors Mundi movement and the World Route Without Borders. Organized in partnership with the City of Cahors and the Fabrique des Écritures (MMSH Marseille), the event took over iconic locations in Cahors and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

On Friday, June 27, the festival opened with an inaugural ceremony on the steps of the Hôtel de Ville, accompanied by a performance by the Gramophone Company and artist Yuliia Nikitiuk. The evening continued with a conference by historian Michel Auvray on the history of the World Route Without Borders, followed by a screening-debate “Résister pour la Paix”.

Saturday, June 28, was marked by the inauguration of a symbolic Route Without Borders marker on Place Bessières, followed by debates, participatory workshops, and artistic performances. The day concluded with DJ sets by Global Industrial Culture and Harome.

On Sunday, June 29, the festival moved to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie for a more intimate and poetic day, with visits to the Maison André Breton and the Maisons Daura, a performance “Allocution fantôme” based on a text by André Breton, and an immersive workshop “La chambre d’utopie”.
