The Carnaval d'Auxerre 2025 once again colored the streets of the city center of the Yonne prefecture. Decorated floats, costumed groups, brass bands, and a children's procession paraded to the cheers of the crowd gathered on the sidewalks of the historic heart of Auxerre.
The traditional moment of the handover of the city keys to King Carnaval marked the highlight of the day, symbolizing this carnival reversal where celebration and fantasy take power for a Sunday. Local associations and school groups had worked for many weeks on the creation of their costumes and decorations. A beautiful, popular, and warm edition in the heart of the Yonne winter.
