Edition 2025 — Chapo Folie's
10th and final edition of Chapo Folie's at Parc du Chapeau de Joigny, on July 5th and 6th, 2025. An anniversary and farewell edition, presented by the organizers as "the most festive, the craziest, and the most moving of all": soul-funk concerts with The Buttshakers, Mediterranean rock with Giufà, and French chanson with Terrain Vague on Saturday evening, followed by the poetic show by the company La Loge on Sunday.
10th Edition — A Beautiful Farewell
On July 5th and 6th, 2025, the Parc du Chapeau de Joigny vibrated one last time to the rhythm of the Chapo Folie's festival. This tenth and final edition, announced a few months earlier as the last, transformed into a collective celebration filled with emotion and intensity. The organizers had promised "the most festive, the craziest, and the most moving of the ten editions" — they kept their promise.
Saturday, July 5th — Three Acts for an Unforgettable Concert
From 5 PM, the park opened its gates to welcome festival-goers around the stands of local producers and artisans. At 7 PM, the concert lineup took flight with three acts offering contrasting and complementary universes:
- Terrain Vague — an invitation to daydream with eclectic French chanson, blending acoustic and electronic elements, poetic lyrics, and surprising melodies.
- The Buttshakers — the Lyon soul-funk combo led by American singer Ciara Thompson, an explosive mix of old-school soul, garage rock, and driving funk with vibrant brass. A performance that literally set the stage ablaze and got the whole park dancing.
- Giufà — the Sicilian rockers with a Mediterranean flair, blending a wild tarantella, festive ska, and Balkan flourishes. The band from Solarino, seasoned on major European stages, delivered an absolutely irresistible festive finale.
The concerts followed one another until 00:30 AM in an electric atmosphere, with a dense and enthusiastic crowd that didn't want the evening to end.
Sunday, July 6th — The Poetic Closing
The next day at 3 PM, the company La Loge presented its show « C'est moi qui raconte ! », a creation mixing poetry, song, and humor for all audiences. This closing performance offered a more intimate and reflective counterpoint to the energetic overflow of Saturday evening, leaving festival-goers with stars in their eyes.
At the end of these two days, it was with immense collective emotion that Chapo Folie's took its bow, leaving behind ten years of concerts, shows, encounters, and shared joy in the heart of Joigny.
