27th edition of the Charlie Jazz Festival, from July 3 to 6, 2025, at the Domaine de Fontblanche in Vitrolles. Richard Bona Quintet, Rhoda Scott, Airelle Besson Trio, Eve Risser, and Naïny Diabaté on the program.

The 27th edition between jazz and world music

The 27th edition of the Charlie Jazz Festival was held from July 3 to 6, 2025, at the Domaine de Fontblanche. The festival offered a rich program blending jazz, world music, and improvised music over four days.

Among the highlights, Saturday, July 5, featured the Richard Bona Quintet, led by the virtuoso Cameroonian bassist and singer, La Marmaille, and the duo Eve Risser & Naïny Diabaté, a meeting between prepared piano and balafon. Sunday, July 6, closed the festival with the legendary organist Rhoda Scott, the Sardar Orkestra, and the Airelle Besson Trio, the prodigy trumpeter of French jazz.

The autumn Rendez-Vous de Charlie completed the season on November 7 and 8, 2025, at the Théâtre de Fontblanche, with Avishai Cohen and Yaron Herman Quartet on Friday, followed by Sélèné and Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Hamilton De Holanda on Saturday.
