Edition 2023 — Light Festival
The 2023 Fête de la Lumière was held on Saturday, September 16th, during the European Heritage Days. Nearly 70,000 spectators attended performances by about twenty artistic companies in the city center of Chartres, featuring light installations, street shows, and interactive creations.

2023 Edition - A Spectacular Popular Success
On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the Fête de la Lumière made its grand return to the delight of nearly 70,000 spectators. About twenty companies dazzled the city center with light installations, parades, acrobatic performances, musicians, and technological innovations.
Among the highlights, spectators were able to discover bioluminescent flowers created by the startup Aglaé, fire shows, shadow theater performances, and electronic concerts. The 2023 edition also provided an opportunity to unveil a new permanent illumination: "Contemplation," lighting up the Saint-Aignan church.
