The Chorégies d'Orange 2025 took place from June 13 to July 25, 2025, in the incomparable setting of the Ancient Theatre of Orange. As every year since 1869, the Provençal summer resonated with the most beautiful international lyrical voices under the starry sky of the Roman theatre, in a setting classified as UNESCO World Heritage.

The Tradition of Great Voices

True to their tradition of excellence, the Chorégies 2025 hosted the greatest performers of the international lyrical repertoire for grandiose productions, the epic dimension of which only the Ancient Theatre can magnify. The theatre's capacity of 9,000 seats allowed a large and diverse audience to share these exceptional moments. Each open-air performance, within the framework of the 1st-century Roman theatre, constitutes a unique sensory experience: the warmth of the golden stones, the incomparable natural acoustics of the 37-meter-high stage wall, and the starry sky of Provence as a backdrop.

The 2025 edition opened with the live broadcast of "Musiques en fête" on France 3, transmitted from the Ancient Theatre of Orange. This emblematic show, watched by millions of viewers every summer, has become one of the most anticipated cultural television events of the season in France, offering exceptional national visibility to the festival and the Roman heritage of Orange.

Mediation and Accessibility

The Chorégies 2025 also offered cultural mediation activities and guided tours of the Ancient Theatre to allow spectators to better understand the millennium-old history of the monument before the performances. Reduced-price tickets were made available to young people and audiences distant from opera, in line with the festival's social commitment. Compatibility with the Pass Culture allowed many young people to discover opera and ballet in this exceptional venue.
