10th Edition: A Season Rich in Discoveries
For its 10th edition, the Cycle d'Orgue de Roanne presented a varied program from June to October 2025, structured around several concerts organized by the three historic partners of the event.
Concerts Organized by ADAMUS
The ADAMUS association programmed concerts at the Saint-Étienne church showcasing varied repertoires, with works by Charles Tournemire, Johann Ludwig Krebs, François Clément, and Jean-Baptiste Loeillet. These concerts allowed for the discovery of lesser-known pieces from the organ repertoire alongside great classical works.
Concerts Organized by ARENOR
The ARENOR association offered programs blending major repertoire pieces: Sonata for organ op. 65 no. 3 in A major by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Gnossienne no. 3 by Éric Satie, Pièce héroïque by César Franck, 2nd Organ Concerto by Hugo Herrmann, Les Miracles by Veit Erdmann, Pastorale BWV 590 and Choral Notre Père by Dietrich Buxtehude, as well as the famous Wedding March by Mendelssohn.
Conservatory Concerts
The Conservatoire de Roannais Agglomération presented concerts combining organ and choir, notably with the Messe solennelle by Louis Vierne, and works by César Franck and Gabriel Fauré, performed by the organists and the Conservatory's Ensemble Vocal. The concert 'Immortal Bach', dedicated to the work of Johann Sebastian Bach, was one of the highlights of this edition at the Saint-Étienne church.
