Edition 2025 — Les Tontons d'Auvillar
The Auvillar open-air cinema festival took place from August 20 to 24, 2025, offering five evenings of classic film screenings in the heritage spaces of the village — Place de la Halle ronde, medieval alleys, and viewpoints over the Garonne. Free admission, a friendly atmosphere, and an exceptional setting brought together residents and vacationers to share the magic of cinema under the stars.
Auvillar Open-Air Cinema — 2025 Edition
From August 20 to 24, 2025, the village of Auvillar vibrated to the rhythm of five open-air cinema evenings. As every summer, the village's heritage spaces — Place de la Halle ronde, cobbled alleys, viewpoints over the Garonne — were transformed into ephemeral cinema halls at nightfall.
Films Screened
The 2025 program brought together classics of French popular cinema and works from world heritage. Screenings began each evening at dusk, around 9:30 PM, allowing spectators to first enjoy the last golden lights over the Garonne before diving into the world of the films.
Enthusiastic Attendance
As every year, the evenings attracted an audience mixing village residents, vacationers passing through on the Camino de Santiago routes (Auvillar is a stop on the path), and families from the region who came to enjoy this free and friendly event. The village's unique atmosphere — its pink bricks, its flowered terraces, its panorama over the Garonne — made each screening unique and memorable.
