Edition 2024 — Ciné-Jeune de l'Aisne

The 42nd edition of the Ciné-Jeune de l'Aisne festival was held from March 22 to April 19, 2024, on the theme "Inventions and Discoveries." Over 195 screenings in 14 towns in Aisne, 35 international short films in competition representing over 15 countries, with free screenings, workshops, and professional meetings.

42nd Ciné-Jeune de l'Aisne Festival (2024)

The 42nd edition of the festival took place from March 22 to April 19, 2024, under the theme "Inventions and Discoveries." Over 195 screenings were organized in 14 towns in Aisne: Chauny, Danizy, Guise, Hirson, La Ferté-Milon, Laon, Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache, Liesse-Notre-Dame, Saint-Gobain, Saint-Quentin, Soissons, Tergnier, Vervins, and Villers-Cotterêts.

The international competition featured 35 short films from over 15 countries, divided into five age-group programs. Among the thematic feature films: Wall-E by Andrew Stanton (free opening screening), The Boy and the Heron by Hayao Miyazaki, Hugo Cabret by Martin Scorsese, and Steamboat Bill Jr. by Buster Keaton.

The closing ceremony was held on April 19 at the François Mitterrand Cultural Center in Tergnier with the awards ceremony and the screening of Chicken for Linda!, winner of the Annecy Cristal 2023 and the César 2024 for best animated film.
