2024 season of the Circuit of Fortified Churches of Thiérache. Summer concerts in the fortified churches, guided tours, and exceptional openings during the European Heritage Days in September. A 150 km route through about sixty unique buildings in France, combining religious architecture and military defense.

2024 Season: Heritage and Music in Thiérache
The 2024 season of the Circuit of Fortified Churches of Thiérache offered a rich program combining summer concerts and heritage tours. Several churches on the circuit hosted classical and baroque music recitals throughout the summer, taking advantage of the remarkable acoustics of these centuries-old buildings.
The European Heritage Days, on September 21st and 22nd, allowed for the exceptional opening of many churches usually closed, with guided tours led by passionate volunteers. Visitors were able to discover the refuge rooms, murder holes, and defensive systems of these unique religious fortresses in France.
