37th Edition — April 2025

CLAP 89 held its 37th edition from April 4 to 6, 2025, at Cinéma Confluences in Sens. This edition was presided over by director and actress Emmanuelle Bercot, a renowned figure in French cinema, particularly for her films Elle s'en va and La Tête haute.

The festival featured 19 short films in international competition, screened across three sessions on the 17-meter digital screen. Fictions, documentaries, and animated films were shown to an enthusiastic audience from Sens. After each screening, spectators voted to award the audience prize.

The professional jury, composed of figures from the film and cultural world, presented the festival's traditional awards: the Clap d'Or for best film, the Clap d'Argent, and various special mentions. A high school jury, made up of seven students from the final year cinema option classes at Sens high schools, also presented its own award, continuing the educational tradition initiated in 1998. The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, April 6, at 5:00 PM, followed by a screening of the award-winning films.

Non-competition screenings paying tribute to Emmanuelle Bercot and meetings with directors completed the program, making this 37th edition a comprehensive celebration of short films in all their forms.
