Edition 2025 — ClassiCahors
The 10th anniversary edition of ClassiCahors was held from July 18 to August 8, 2025, in Cahors, Pradines, Caillac, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Tour-de-Faure, and Labastide-du-Vert. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the festival offered 13 exceptional musical events, from symphony orchestras to baroque ensembles, including chamber music and a Choir and Orchestra Academy.
10th Edition — Ten Years of Music and Sharing
For its tenth anniversary, ClassiCahors presented an ambitious program with 13 musical events spread over three weeks in six communes of the Lot. This edition celebrated a decade of classical music accessible to all in the most beautiful heritage sites of the region.
Program Highlights
The festival opened on July 18 with the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse performing Mozart and Beethoven at La Prade de Pradines. The Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine performed on July 23 in the courtyard of the Prefecture. The program also included the Azul Quartet with a Latin American repertoire, trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin-Vary accompanied by a brass band, cellist Ophélie Gaillard in a duo with Emmanuel Pélaprat, and the baroque ensemble Les Surprises for the closing on August 8.
Choir and Orchestra Academy
The 2025 edition continued the Choir Academy under the direction of Michel Piquemal, offering amateur choristers a week of work culminating in a public concert.
