2024 Edition - Liberté, les combattants de l'ombre

The 2024 edition of Son & Lumière de Cléry featured the seventh season of "Liberté, les combattants de l'ombre", a production retracing daily life under the German Occupation and the emergence of resistance networks in Beauce, Sologne, and the Loire Valley between 1940 and 1944.

For two hours, 200 volunteer actors brought this dark period of French History to life on the 5,000 m² stage of the Parc Culturel du Val d'Ardoux. The show highlighted the intertwined destinies of resistance fighters, collaborators, and civilians caught in the turmoil of war, through exceptional sets, period military vehicles, pyrotechnic effects, and video projection.

Eight performances were scheduled between July 19 and August 3, 2024, each accommodating up to 960 spectators in the park's stands.
