The 80th anniversary Commemorations of the Vercors battles were held on July 21st and 22nd, 2024, in Vassieux-en-Vercors. This exceptional edition brought together hundreds of people for ceremonies at the national necropolis and in front of the martyrology, in the presence of state representatives and veterans.

2024 Commemorations — 80th Anniversary of the Vercors Battles
On July 21st, 2024, Vassieux-en-Vercors commemorated the 80th anniversary of the massacre of its inhabitants and the battles of the Vercors maquis. The ceremonies took place first at the National Necropolis, where 187 maquisards and inhabitants rest, then in front of the martyrology in the heart of the village. This anniversary edition featured exceptionally large-scale commemorations throughout the Vercors territory.
