Edition 2025 — Coupe Icare
The 52nd edition of the Coupe Icare was held from September 16 to 21, 2025, in Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet and Lumbin. Over 100,000 spectators attended the Icarnaval on September 20 and 21, with memorable costumes like the flying Bayeux Tapestry and the little green men. Icare Expo brought together the world's leading free flight equipment manufacturers.

52nd Edition - Free Flight Celebrated
The 52nd Coupe Icare took place from September 16 to 21, 2025, between the Plateau des Petites Roches in Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet and the landing area in Lumbin. This edition brought together over 100,000 spectators from around the world to celebrate free flight in all its forms.
2025 Edition Program
Icare Test (September 16-17)
The first two days were dedicated to equipment testing sessions. Pilots were able to test the latest wings, harnesses, and instruments offered by the manufacturers present at the south launch site. Registration was required at a fee of €25 for both days.
Icare Expo (September 18-21)
The largest free flight trade show brought together manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and distributors from around the world. New products, used equipment, and meetings with industry professionals were on the agenda for these four days.
Icarnaval and Icare Show (September 20-21)
The highlight of the edition: the legendary costume flying competition offered an extraordinary show with increasingly inventive and burlesque creations. Among the memorable costumes of 2025, a spectacular flying Bayeux Tapestry, little green men invading the sky, and many other delirious creations stood out. The acrobatic demonstrations of paragliding, hang gliding, paramotoring, and wingsuiting completed this unforgettable weekend.
Icare Cinema
The 43rd International Aerial Film Festival offered free screenings during the day and paid evening sessions (€10 to €15), presenting the best films and documentaries on free flight and aerial adventure.
Entertainment and Festivities
Concerts, brass bands, street performances, Icare Mômes activities for children, and conferences with pilots and adventurers enlivened the plateau and the village throughout the week.
