The first edition of Curieux Baz'art was held on June 14 and 15, 2025, in the town center of Gaillac. This new free and family-friendly live arts festival brought together several companies for astonishing shows in the streets, squares, and unusual places of the city, in a joyful and offbeat atmosphere.
1st Edition – June 14 and 15, 2025
Gaillac hosted the first edition of Curieux Baz'art on June 14 and 15, 2025, its new free and family-friendly live arts festival. Succeeding the Papillonnez festival, this inaugural edition immediately captivated the audience with a rich and surprising program spread throughout the town center.
2025 Edition Program
- Giant Instruments and Sound Machines: An interactive installation inviting young and old to play with sound on a street scale.
- Sensory Exhibition: Blending storytelling, science, and mystery in a reinvented museum space for the occasion.
- Participatory Dance: A collective experience in nature, guided by an immersive soundtrack.
- Acrobatics on an Unstable Mast: A spectacular contemporary circus act combining technical prowess and poetic movement.
- Breton Musical Theater: A show for all ages mixing puppets and traditional music.
- High-Flying Acrobatics: Breathtaking high-wire acts in the city's airspace.
- Plastic Arts Workshops: Participatory creations for children and families.
The inaugural edition was supported by the Occitanie Region and received an enthusiastic welcome from the public of Gaillac and visitors from the Tarn.
