Débord de Loire 2023 — 3rd Edition
Initially scheduled for 2022, the 3rd edition of Débord de Loire finally took place from May 30 to June 5, 2023, after a one-year postponement for organizational reasons. The event brought together nearly 200,000 spectators along the estuary.
Exceptional Ships
In addition to the Belem, the event's emblematic ship, this edition hosted two majestic three-masters: the Français, a traditional schooner built in Brest, and the Oosterschelde, a magnificent Dutch three-masted schooner from 1918. Sailing transport was particularly showcased, demonstrating ecological alternatives to conventional maritime freight.
Artistic Program
Beyond the nautical parade, the program included dance performances on the quays, concerts, participatory balls, boat tours, heritage cruises on the Loire, and exhibitions dedicated to the history of the river and its estuary.
