18th Edition: Eighteen Years of Committed Documentaries

The 18th edition of Échos d'Ici, Échos d'Ailleurs took place from October 10 to 12, 2025 in Labastide-Rouairoux. After eighteen years of existence, the festival remains true to its founding values: screening independent and committed documentaries, and organizing direct encounters between directors and the public.

This anniversary edition featured a selection of films reflecting the diversity of contemporary documentary, from intimate testimonies to grand social epics, including explorations of distant lands or buried memories. The presence of the directors, for almost all the programmed films, allowed for rich exchanges and fruitful debates that extended the screenings long after the sessions ended.

Labastide-Rouairoux once again transformed into a cinephile village for a weekend in October, welcoming filmmakers from all over France and the loyal audience that has trusted the festival's demanding and curious programming for many years. The 18th edition confirms the vitality of a rural festival that proves, year after year, that documentary excellence does not require a large venue but a passionate team and a territory that believes in it.
