Edition 2025 — Europajazz
The 45th edition of Europajazz featured a highlight in the city center of Le Mans on May 28th, followed by the Europa[jazz] Final from June 1st to 5th at the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau. Six iconic artists — Louis Sclavis, Erik Truffaz, Géraldine Laurent, Sylvain Rifflet, Dhafer Youssef, and Airelle Besson — presented completely new projects over five days of concerts.
45th Edition — Europajazz 2025
The 2025 edition of Europajazz began on May 28th with a festive day in the city center of Le Mans, featuring concerts at the foot of the cathedral, in Place Saint-Nicolas, and on Rue des Minimes. The Europa[jazz] Final then took place from June 1st to 5th at the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau.
Featured Artists
Six iconic artists were invited to create entirely new programs: Louis Sclavis, a major figure in European jazz; Erik Truffaz, a trumpeter at the crossroads of jazz and electronic music; Géraldine Laurent, a powerful saxophonist; Sylvain Rifflet, an inventive clarinettist and saxophonist; Dhafer Youssef, a Tunisian oud player and singer with an enchanting voice; and Airelle Besson, a trumpeter with delicate lyricism.
Concerts were held in the various spaces of the abbey: the abbey church, the monks' dormitory, the chapter house, and the park, offering a variety of formats from intimate recitals to grand concerts.
