23rd edition and Women's World Cup
The 23rd European Hot Air Balloon Cup took place from July 31 to August 4, 2024, with take-offs from the sites of Mainfonds, La Génétouze, Cognac, and Jonzac. For this exceptional edition, more than 80 balloons from all over Europe took to the skies of Charente, accompanied by the Women's World Cup for hot air balloons, a prestigious competition bringing together the world's best female pilots.
The Nouvelle Aquitaine Air Show air show completed the program with spectacular aerial demonstrations. Tens of thousands of spectators witnessed the morning and evening take-offs against the backdrop of sunsets over the Charente vineyards.
