Edition 2025 — Mourjou Chestnut Fair
The 34th edition of the Mourjou Chestnut and Chestnut Tree Fair was held on October 18 and 19, 2025, bringing together over 20,000 visitors around 80 exhibitors, 1.2 tons of roasted chestnuts, and numerous activities in the Cantal village.
34th Mourjou Chestnut Fair
For its 34th edition, the Mourjou Chestnut and Chestnut Tree Fair once again transformed this small village in the Cantal Chestnut Grove into the chestnut capital on October 18 and 19, 2025.
More than 80 exhibitors presented their products: fresh and roasted chestnuts, chestnut flour, jams, creams, liqueurs, as well as artisanal objects made from chestnut wood and specialties from the Cantal terroir. The 200 volunteers from the Association du Pélou ensured the impeccable organization of this event, labeled among the Most Beautiful Festivals in France.
Activities punctuated the weekend: technical demonstrations at the Maison de la Châtaigne, conferences, exhibitions, workshops for children, two hikes in the chestnut groves, street performances, and strolling brass bands with Gradisca Fanfare, Sonall De, Banzai Fanfare Survoltée, and Brancaleone.
