Chestnut Fair 2025 in Laguépie
On October 26, 2025, Laguépie's Place du Foirail welcomed thousands of visitors for the annual Grand Chestnut Fair, true to its tradition for over twenty years. The bonfires roasted over a ton of chestnuts throughout the day, filling the air with their irresistible woody and sweet aroma.
Local producers presented their fresh and dried chestnuts, artisanal flours, and preserves, while crepe makers prepared their chestnut flour crepes and mobile presses transformed orchard apples into fresh, flavorful juice. The 12th-century Château de Saint-Martin-Laguépie opened its doors to visitors from 11 am to 6 pm, offering a dive into the medieval history of the Aveyron-Viaur confluence. Marked hikes and vintage vehicle exhibitions completed a day of authentic rural celebration under the Quercy autumn sun.
