Festin de la Saint-Pierre 2025
The 2025 edition of the Festin de la Saint-Pierre took place on the weekend of June 28th and 29th in Villefranche-sur-Mer. True to tradition, the festival began on Saturday with a mass at the Saint-Pierre chapel, adorned with the famous frescoes by Jean Cocteau, followed by a procession carrying the statue of the patron saint of fishermen through the narrow streets of the old port.
On Sunday morning, the high mass at the Saint-Michel church brought the community together, before the most solemn moment: the throwing of flower wreaths into the bay in memory of lost sailors. The aperitif offered on the port by the Association of Old Sailors then opened the popular festivities of the day, in the magnificent setting of the most beautiful bay on the French Riviera.
