Edition 2025 — Festiv'Elles
The 10th anniversary edition of Festiv'Elles took place in March 2025 in 12 municipalities of the Orléans metropolitan area, with the theme of women in science. The festival highlighted anonymous female discoverers in the fields of virology, physics, genetics, biology, chemistry, programming, and space exploration, through exhibitions, theater, conferences, and workshops.
10th Edition — Women in Science Honored
In March 2025, Festiv'Elles celebrated its 10th anniversary edition with a program dedicated to women in science. The 12 participating municipalities offered a rich panel of events highlighting female contributions to science and technology.
Highlights
- Exhibition "Anonymous Discoverers": nine portraits of pioneering women in virology, physics, genetics, biology, chemistry, programming, and space exploration
- Performance "The Witch Hunt, A Tale of Forgotten Women" by the company Les Productions du Chat qui rêve — a theatrical look at the historical erasure of women
- Meeting with Sandrine Gauvin, author and director
- Screenings, conferences, and workshops in the territory's media libraries
