Festival Alors... Raconte !

30th Edition: Three Decades of Storytelling in Tarn-et-Garonne

From January 24 to February 14, 2025, Tarn-et-Garonne pulsed to the rhythm of words with the 30th edition of the Alors... Raconte! festival. This anniversary edition confirmed the exceptional vitality of this unique event, which remains one of the most important storytelling festivals in France, faithful to its founding values.

The 2025 edition offered 15 free evenings plus 3 additional sessions, traveling through about fifteen communes in the department. Beaumont-de-Lomagne, Bruniquel, Castelsarrasin, Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave, Dieupentale, Monjoi, Vaïssac, Saint-Porquier, and other communes hosted storytellers for memorable evenings.

The 2025 program brought together top-tier storytellers: Nicolas Bourdon opened the festival in Beaumont-de-Lomagne with his tales full of humor and tenderness. Sylvie Monbo enchanted the evenings in Bruniquel and Castelsarrasin. Frédéric Naud, Bernard Barbier, Luigi Rignanese, Kyung Wilputte—an artist of Korean origin based in Belgium whose repertoire draws from the sources of Asian oral tradition—followed one another to offer their personal and profound vision of the art of storytelling.

The closing evening, on February 14 in Saint-Porquier, with the storyteller Abdon Fortuné, brought together a large and moved audience for a finale worthy of this anniversary edition. More than 3,400 spectators attended the various sessions of this 2025 edition, a figure that testifies to the deep attachment of the inhabitants of Tarn-et-Garonne to their storytelling festival.
