Edition 2025 — Anne de Bretagne

31st edition of the Festival Anne de Bretagne, from May 16 to 18, 2025 in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu. Three days of Breton culture at Parc de la Boulogne with Irish dance shows, concerts by Plantec and Blain/Leyzour, traditional costume parade from Comté Nantais, bagadoù parade, exhibitions, and free activities.

31st Edition — May 16 to 18, 2025 in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu

The 31st edition of the Festival Anne de Bretagne took place from May 16 to 18, 2025 in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu, in the heart of Parc de la Boulogne and the town center. Three days of festivities celebrated Breton and Celtic culture, with shows, concerts, parades, and exhibitions accessible to all.

Friday, May 16 — Irish and Breton Evening

The festival opened its doors on Friday evening at Parc de la Boulogne with a two-part evening:

  • 8:00 PM: Breton music concert with Hip-Noz
  • 9:00 PM: Irish music and dance show with JigTime — three musicians and five dancers

Saturday, May 17 — Festive Day

Saturday was the highlight of the festival:

  • Musical and singing walk through Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu
  • Breton dance, song, and music activities in the town center
  • Commented parade of traditional costumes from Comté Nantais: about sixty people showcasing fashion from the mid-19th to the 20th century
  • Concert by Breton choirs
  • 8:00 PM: Concert at Parc de la Boulogne with Blain/Leyzour (featuring Eric Legret) and Plantec — free entry

Sunday, May 18 — Parade and Street Performances

Sunday concluded the festival with:

  • Parade of bagadoù through the town streets
  • Street performances mixing Breton dance and music
  • Cultural activities and associative stands

Exhibitions

Three exhibitions were presented throughout the festival and until mid-June:

  • “Children of Today in Traditional Costume” — photographs by Serj Philouze
  • “Fashion of Comté Nantais”
  • “On the Road of Cléder-Poher” — photographs by Gilles Lévénès
