19th edition of the Arelate Festival - Roman Days of Arles, from August 18 to 23, 2025. Theme 'Private Life, Public Life' exploring the duality of Roman life.
19th edition: Private Life, Public Life
The 19th edition of the Arelate Festival took place from August 18 to 23, 2025, under the theme "Private Life, Public Life". This theme explored the duality of Roman life, between the intimacy of the home and the public scene of the baths, the forum, and the amphitheater.
Gladiators, legionaries, artisans, patricians, and plebeians took over the arenas of Arles, the Ancient Theatre, the Museum of Ancient Arles, the Verrerie gardens, and the streets of the city center. The partnership with the Peplum Film Festival enriched the program with screenings at the Ancient Theatre.
