Edition 2025 — Au Fil des Notes
The 2025 edition of the Au Fil des Notes Festival presented “Un ballo in maschera”, an original adaptation of Giuseppe Verdi's opera, blending lyrical art and melodrama in a 1930s transposition. Following the success of La Traviata in 2023 and Puccini… passionately in 2024, this new production continued the exploration of the great lyrical repertoire across five towns in Vienne.

2025 Edition: Verdi's “Un ballo in maschera”
In 2025, the Au Fil des Notes Festival offered an immersion into the world of “Un ballo in maschera”, one of Giuseppe Verdi's most captivating operas. Presented in an original format blending lyrical art and melodrama, this adaptation transposed to the 1930s follows a journalist attempting to reconstruct the events leading to a murder at a masked ball in Boston. Performances were held in Montmorillon, Valdivienne, Bonneuil-Matours, Charroux, and La Roche-Posay, bringing together professional opera singers and a choir of young performers under the musical direction of Éric Sprogis.
