Edition 2025 — Auvers
The 44th edition of the Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise, named "Opus 44", took place from March 22 to September 21, 2025, in sixteen major sites in the Val-d'Oise. The program brought together internationally renowned artists such as Khatia Buniatishvili, Sonya Yoncheva, Gautier Capuçon, and William Christie, featuring Auvers baroque, classical, romantic, lyrical, and contemporary.
44th edition — Opus 44
The 2025 edition of the Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise lived up to all its promises with an exceptionally rich program. Titled "Opus 44" to celebrate the festival's forty-four years of existence, it took over sixteen major sites in the Val-d'Oise, from Auvers-sur-Oise to Méry-sur-Oise, including Hérouville-en-Vexin, Vallangoujard, and Nesles-la-Vallée.
An exceptional program
Soprano Sonya Yoncheva, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and pianist Khatia Buniatishvili were among the headliners of this edition. Founder and artistic director William Christie also honored the festival with his presence, echoing the baroque component of the program.
Season highlights
The festival concluded on September 18, 2025, with a candlelit concert celebrating the 300th anniversary of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, at the Église Notre-Dame d'Auvers-sur-Oise. On September 14, the Argos duo (guitar and accordion) performed works by Gershwin, Bernstein, Moussorgsky, and Ravel in an intimate chamber music evening.
