Edition 2025 — Brazilian Film Paris
The 27th edition of the Paris Brazilian Film Festival was held from April 29 to May 6, 2025, at the L'Arlequin cinema. More than 35 films—fiction, documentaries, and short films—were presented, with a tribute to actress Dira Paes and a retrospective of Lázaro Ramos and Taís Araújo.
27th Edition - April-May 2025
The Paris Brazilian Film Festival 2025 presented 35 films at the L'Arlequin cinema, divided into several sections: 8 fiction films in competition, 10 fiction films out of competition, 9 documentaries, and retrospectives. The opening film, Vitória by Andrucha Waddington starring Fernanda Montenegro, and the closing film, A Man With a Big H by Esmir Filho, marked this edition.
Actress Dira Paes was honored with a retrospective of five films, while a tribute was paid to the acting couple Lázaro Ramos and Taís Araújo with five additional films. Among the directors in competition: Fellipe Barbosa and Carolina Markowicz.
