39th Edition — November 23 to 30, 2025

For its 39th edition, the Nature & Environment Film Festival offered a more focused but equally committed program, in a more constrained budget context than in previous years. FNE Isère maintained the festival's original naturalist and environmental dynamism by offering screenings and debates around its priority themes: biodiversity, ecological transition, protection of living things.

A program featuring 14 documentaries

The official selection included 14 feature-length documentaries in competition, presented across 5 public screenings. Among the notable films of this edition were Attention fragile, a documentary about the work of ONF agents and the Tengmalm's owl, Un autre regard on changing perspectives towards the living world, and La forêt, c'est la classe by Denis Schlosser, dedicated to outdoor classes. Each session combined a short film and a feature-length documentary, followed by a debate with specialized speakers.

Screenings in three metropolitan cinemas

The festival took place in three cinemas in the Grenoble metropolitan area:

  • La Vence Scène in Saint-Égrève for the opening night on Sunday, November 23
  • Cinéma Le Club in Grenoble for 3 evening screenings (Thursday 27, Friday 28, and Saturday 29 November) and 1 family session on Saturday 29 afternoon
  • Cinéma Le Jeu de Paume in Vizille for the closing session on Sunday, November 30 afternoon, accompanied by the awards ceremony

A substantial school program

In parallel with the public screenings, 26 school sessions were organized in cinemas in Grenoble and the metropolitan area between late November and mid-December, allowing thousands of students to discover documentaries about nature and the environment.

The festival on tour in Isère

For this 39th edition, the festival also toured the Isère region, offering itinerant screenings in several towns to reach a wider audience beyond the Grenoble metropolitan area.
