The 2025 Cherry and Local Produce Festival was held on June 1, 2025, in the medieval streets of Venasque. The Confrérie de la Cerise, founded in 1978, animated this day of conviviality and gastronomy with tastings, a local producers' market, costumed inductions, and Provençal folk entertainment.

2025 Edition — Cherries from the Monts de Vaucluse in the Spotlight
On June 1, 2025, the medieval village of Venasque vibrated to the rhythm of its annual cherry festival. From the opening of the market at 9 AM, the cobbled streets and the village square filled with the good cheer of residents, producers, and visitors from all over Vaucluse and beyond.
The stalls of the cherry producers from the Monts de Vaucluse overflowed with freshly picked bigarreaux, burlats, and reverchons, offered for free tasting before purchase. Local artisans—jam makers, pastry chefs, liquor producers—presented their cherry-based creations, from artisanal jam to cherries in brandy, sorbets, and tarts.
Mid-morning, the Confrérie de la Cerise de Venasque paraded in costume through the medieval streets, preceded by Provençal musicians. The induction ceremony, held in the village square, welcomed new members into the confraternity under the applause and cheers of the gathered crowd. The afternoon was enlivened by folk groups, Provençal songs, and the now-traditional cherry pit spitting contest, which brought laughter to all spectators.
