Edition 2025 — La Chaise-Dieu
The 59th edition of the Festival de La Chaise-Dieu was held from August 20 to 30, 2025. Under the theme of grandeur and happiness, this edition brought together over 23,000 spectators for 33 paid concerts and 65 events in total, with a record occupancy rate of 89%. The opening featured a staging of Monteverdi's L'Orfeo by Les Épopées, conducted by Stéphane Fuget. The tradition of sacred music was at the heart of the program with Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria, Bach's Mass in B minor, and Mozart's Great Mass in C minor. The Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse and the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg were among the major symphony orchestras invited.
