Historic First Edition - April 2024
The first edition of the Festival de la Cloche de Sainte-Solange took place from April 5th to 7th, 2024, marking a historic event for this village in the Cher region. The old, cracked bells of the Saint-Barthélemy Church were cast on-site to create a new, imposing 850-kilo bell. The casting took place on Friday, April 5th, in two sessions: at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, allowing a large audience to witness this exceptional moment.
On Sunday, April 7th, the bell's unmolding took place at 3:00 PM, revealing the magnificent bronze bell to the moved applause of the hundreds of spectators present. The blessing followed immediately, in the presence of the clergy and local elected officials. This inaugural event attracted over 1,500 visitors over the weekend, confirming the public's enthusiasm for this type of heritage event.
