Festival de la Sainte Camille

2025 Edition — July 13th at the Archaeological Site

The Festival de la Sainte Camille held its annual event on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, from 2 PM to 11 PM, at the Escolives archaeological site — La Villa Scoliva. True to its popular and family-friendly spirit, the 2025 edition offered a full day of free entertainment, from the festive fanfare at the start of the afternoon to the dance party that concluded the festivities.

Day's Program

Starting at 2 PM, the Fanfare de Chevannes (brass band) opened the festival gates in a warm atmosphere, roaming the site with its brass and percussion. The compagnie Hasufel then delighted young and old with its equestrian and chivalrous show, under the July sky, close to the Gallo-Roman remains.

Several performances of theatrical guided tours of the archaeological site allowed visitors to travel back in time to the era of the Roman villa. Interactive workshops for children — related to ancient history and games of the time — enlivened the afternoon for families.

From 8 PM, the Baladins de Saint-Verain opened the evening with a show of traditional and folk dances. Then, the night was set ablaze by the Tribu du Feu, whose twenty-minute pyrotechnic show amazed the audience amidst the archaeological site. The evening continued with a concert and a dance party hosted by DJ David, concluding this Sainte Camille celebration in joy.

Alongside the shows, two dining options coexisted: the Gallo-Roman banquet (by prior reservation) and fast food with a refreshment stand, accessible to all throughout the day.
