2025 Edition — Beyond the Rhine

The 2025 concert series paid a vibrant tribute to the German musical tradition that has so profoundly marked the history of Western music. From Bach to Mahler, including Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Wagner, the festival invited the public on a journey through the centuries and territories of the Holy Roman Empire.

The Hermès Quartet opened the season on July 5th at the abbey of Senones with "The Immortals", performing the last quartets of Beethoven and Schubert. The Irini Ensemble followed with "Sacred Spring" at Notre-Dame de Galilée, followed by the La Nébuleuse Ensemble and its "Lautenkonzerte" at the abbey of Moyenmoutier. The Alia Mens Ensemble offered "Deus Calculat" by J.S. Bach at the abbey of Étival, while the Alkymia Ensemble presented "¡Viva la Gracia!" at the abbey of Autrey. Les Cris de Paris closed the season with "Warum ?" at the abbey of Senones.
